Year 9 Camping Trip

Year 9 were off on their camping residential in East Grinstead in the final week before the half term holiday, as a reward for all their hard work this year. We started with a challenging hike through beautiful countryside on Wednesday and then took part in five activities throughout the next two days: abseiling, zip wire, axe throwing, leap of faith and crate stacking. We had some delicious food and enjoyed playing lots of sport and having fun around the campfire. Most students slept in the big tents that you can see in the picture below, which each slept up to 9 people. Some other, more intrepid adventurers, chose to put up their own tent. This whole trip was an excellent introduction into camping and the outdoors for students, and many of them will go on to complete their Duke of Edinburgh qualifications over the next few years.
