More of our students have achieved the top A*-B grades than last year with many students gaining top grades securing them places at some of the best universities in the world.
Leen achieved the perfect set of A level results with three A*s in maths, biology and chemistry. She’s off to King’s to study Pharmacy. Amongst the other pupils achieving straight A and A* grades, Gabrielle is going to LSE to study history and international relations; Hussein is going to Bath to study aerospace engineering, Anya is off to UCL to study pharmacology and Dania is going to Queen Mary to study Law.
Our Business Studies BTEC course continues to be one of the best in the country with 93% of the cohort achieving D*D*D*, D*D*D or D*DD (equivalent of 3 A*-B grades). Sultan has achieved D*D*D* and is heading off to City to do accounting and finance, Anisa is going to Queen Mary to study business management and Yousef is off to Reading to study quantity surveying. Other students have secured excellent degree level apprenticeships such as Ilyas, who is going to do construction management with Waites.
These results come on the back of a successful year in Sixth Form. Having been evaluated as Outstanding in every area last Winter, we have continued to grow from strength to strength and we continue to invest in making sure our Sixth Form gives our students everything they need to thrive over these two years and beyond. We’ve opened a brand new Sixth Form café this year and the private outdoor space for the Sixth Form building is being redesigned by the students with works planned for the months ahead. You can find out more about our Sixth Form and how to apply here.
Ark King Solomon Academy Principal, Beth Humphreys, said, “We’re so proud of our Sixth Formers today. There are so many stories here of students who have worked exceptionally hard and taken every opportunity we have given them. Some pupils have been with us since they were three years old in our nursery, others joined our team and family just for sixth form. I’m so excited to see what they will go on to achieve as the head off into the world. They are such powerful role models for the rest of our school community.”
