"Taking part in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifier was a challenging but really enjoyable experience. Over the two days, my group and I had to navigate our route while carrying everything we needed in our rucksacks. Walking for around six hours each day was tiring, especially when carrying all our equipment and occasionally getting lost but working together as a team made it much easier. We had to communicate, stay focused on our route and support each other whenever things became difficult.
Overall, the Bronze DofE qualifier taught me a lot about teamwork, independence and perseverance. It pushed me outside my usual routine and showed me how important it is to stay positive and keep going when things become difficult. Although it was challenging at times, it was a memorable experience that I am glad I took part in it."
